People like Myco are God's way of saying "I'm sorry" for people like me.

I remember reading the autobiography of Malcolm X when I was a kid and fantasizing about being the next prophet of progress - leading my people up out of the ghetto.

I got full of righteous indignation. Zeal. Vigor.

Then I played Nintendo.

As I grew into adulthood, I realized I really did not have the temperament to be a messianic savior. However, as an educator and mentor at a local charter school, people like Myco are doing a thing I only imagined I could.

I don't think you can overstate the impact that dedicated educators have on the children in their charge.

I admire people like her and I'm glad to introduce her to you.
